Digitalization is not about technology alone, it occurs at the intersection of people, healthcare systems and technology. We look forward to bringing together researchers on Information Technologies, Healthcare and the Social Sciences for the 8th International Conference on Infrastructures in Healthcare 2021 - infraHEALTH 2021. This is the 8th edition of the conference that started out as a biennial workshop in Copenhagen, Denmark back in 2007.
The ongoing digitalization calls for critical perspectives on the evolution of digital infrastructures for healthcare. With an increased availability of personal health data, the modes of healthcare provision are continuously reshaped, requiring new ways of organizing health services. New skills for both citizens and healthcare workers are required for data gathering and use, novel approaches are needed to manage consent and data guardianship, and it becomes critical to educate citizens and health personnel to understand new risks and opportunities.
infraHEALTH 2021 will include presentations and discussions related to digitalizing healthcare infrastructures. It is co-organized by three Universities: University of Agder, University of Oslo and Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien). All accepted papers will be published in EUSSET’s Reports of the European Society for Socially Embedded Technologies.
Time and place: 23-24. September in Kristiansand, Norway. The current plan is to have a physical conference. This decision will be re-assed by August 5th depending on travel restrictions.
